Dr. Francis Ardito has enjoyed an illustrious global career in the field of health and wellness for over twenty-five years.

As an academic, he has authored seven books and numerous scholarly articles and related publications. Dr. Ardito currently serves as professor and department chair of health and wellness promotion at College of Lake County. Prior to this, he was a research scientist at the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health – Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Ardito has won major teaching honors each of his last ten years in higher education, including the NISOD Excellence Award. Prior to this, he was honored with Karate Teacher of the Year.

As a presenter/trainer, Dr. Francis Ardito has worked with hundreds of renowned groups and organizations. Some of these include; American Medical Association, National Wellness Institute, American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Disney, Advocate Health Care, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Rush Medical School, University of Illinois Medical School, Sprint, and numerous higher education institutions and hospitals. Recently, Dr. Ardito was inducted into the National Wellness Institute’s coveted Circle of Leadership for his contributions to the field of health and wellness.

Dr. Ardito is proud to serve others through coaching and consulting as well. He recently authored the first health and wellness coaching degree in the history of the United States. Dr. Francis Ardito has coached/consulted for groups including; Human Kinetics Publishing Co., World Book Publishing Co., Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team (Click here to learn more), United States Karate Team, and thousands of professional and Olympic athletes, students, scholars, and distinguished individuals.

Entrepreneurship has been a staple in the career of Dr. Francis Ardito for over two decades. He is the holder of a substantial intellectual property portfolio, including United States Patent, trademarks, servicemarks, and copyrights.

Fifteen years ago, he opened up The Center for Health and Healing, one of the first truly holistic health and wellness centers in the United States. More recently, Dr. Ardito founded The Wellness Registry and the Consumer Wellness Advocate (CWA) Certification Program – the wellness equivalent to CPR. Representing the first consumer-wellness credential in history, thousands of individuals have been certified in the past couple of years. Additionally, he founded The Coaches Registry and the Professional Coach Advocate (PCA) Certification Program – designed to empower individuals to take a coaching approach to work and life.

Dr. Francis Ardito is proudest of his role as a humanitarian. For decades, he has championed the underserved. This has resulted in extensive outreach with the homeless, battered women, abused children, at-risk youth, and gifted individuals with special needs. Born and raised in the city of Chicago, Dr. Ardito is humbled and honored to continue to serve the community he graciously calls home.
